I started the day off this morning visiting my father at the cemetary (I know... a little morbid). He's been gone a year today which is so unbelievable to me! It still seems like he is here with us, being stubborn and crazy. I miss him very much and think about him all the time. I just wish Noah had gotten to know him - he would have been such a fun grandfather. Dad, I love and mis you!!

Hello there...I read your blog and finally decided to take the time and post a comment, and not be just a "lurker!" HA!
My dad is still living, and for this I am thankful. My children have the opportunity to get to know him and make memories that will last their whole life.
You definitely have my sympathy on the loss of your father. This idea won't be the same as having your father right there, but by sharing your memories of your Dad with your little boy, you can help him to know what kind of person that your Dad was. Have pictures around the house of him so that he'll recognize Grandpa. When my teens were little, they lost their Uncle (my brother) and I did these things with them. Now, when we talk about Uncle Chris, they feel that they know him. :)
